Nosara, Costa Rica
Our house has 3 air conditioned bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a whole house security system with key chain remote, a whole house sound system that’s ipad/iphone/mp3 player ready, a large kitchen with 7 foot eat-in center island, an outdoor eating area and a private pool. The house is rented by the week and is available year round.
Our beautifully landscaped property is full of lime, mango, avocado, papaya, and coconut trees. There are orchids, hibiscus, bougainvillea and birds of paradise and numerous other plants.
There is a monkey trail directly above the house and monkeys often pass overhead while we play in the pool. When we arrived in July 2011 there we more than a dozen overhead including several babies.
Three sides of our property are bordered by 10 undeveloped acres of jungle. You can get a satelitte view of our house using Google Maps – click here.
The house is very centrally located. It’s within walking distance of the beach, mini-mart, the Gilded Iguana, Giardino Tropical, Cafe de Paris and the Nosara Yoga Institute. Our kids, ages 10 & 13, walk to the beach with their boards daily.
Nosara is noted as being one of the best surfing spots in Latin America. The surf is great whether you’re a pro or just getting started. The surf is a beach break with a gentle slope. The closer waves are 1-2 feet high and a terrific place to learn (both my kids learned here at ages 7 and 9). The slope is so slight you can walk out 100 yards and still be in waist high water. This is great for kids and beginners.
