Do I have to take any health precautions before going to Costa Rica?

Question by amanda: Do I have to take any health precautions before going to Costa Rica?
Im going on vacation to Costa Rica at the end of May beginning of June next year and before I go I want to know if there is any time of immunizations I have to get before I leave? Or if there is any other type of health precautions I must do. Thank you!

No, you don’t need any for Costa Rica.

    There are no immunizations required to visit Costa Rica. You may want to stock up on insect repellent for mosquitoes and sand flies if you plan to be out and about.

    in any case, when you stay in Costa Rica don’t buy food to street seller, if you visit the jungle, like corcovado, use repellents .

    You should get hepatitis B shots. It is not required but it is reccomended.

    if you are from the states and traveling to CR there is no legal health requierments, but i recommend you to bring bug spray, sometimes you have to fell in an health document in the airport, but thats normal
