I have an adventure tour company in Costa Rica and need to promote it and draw clients from other countries. My website is www.costaricasafaris.com

There are some sites online that pay you in advertisements for clicking on links or receiving their email. That would be a good way of getting free advertising online. Then you could also take out an ad in the paper there and have a commercial. Get out there and let it be known who you are and what you are selling.

Tamarindo & The Gold Coast
Sun-drenched beaches with year-round surf, vibrant nightlife and a culture steeped in cowboy lore draw travelers to Guanacaste province. Beautiful coastlines and dry tropical forests dominate this vast region that spans the length of the Nicoya Peninsula across the open grasslands and arid plains of northwestern Costa Rica.

A picturesque stretch of beaches and seaside communities known as the Gold Coast is located on Guanacaste’s North Pacific shores. From south to north, this alluring expanse of coastline includes: Playas Negra, Avellanas, Tamarindo, Grande, Brasilito, Conchal, Flamingo and Potrero. Located 69 kilometers southwest of Liberia, Tamarindo is a popular beach town.

What are the best things to buy in Costa Rica?

Question by pdx_girl: What are the best things to buy in Costa Rica?
I am going to Costa Rica later this week. What things are good to buy there? I know coffee, but what else? What is cheap compared to the US? Are there any cool cultural things I should keep an eye out for?

Best answer:

Answer by Jaded
There are many women who work with wood and different types of tree seeds to make unique and interesting jewelry. Costaricans also work with coconut, coffee paper, banana and tobacco leafs in much of there handcrafts. Something I really love and find beautiful are the jewelry boxes with the Blue Morpho butterfly framed to the cover. You can also buy the frames separately with the Blue Morpho or other types of butterflies.
Warning : Beware of those who might try to rip you off by charging you much more than they should.
You also asked ” what is cheap compared to the US?” Fruit is! If you don’t think you’ll get sick try the different types of fruits in the country like Mamon and Guayaba (I’m not sure what is in season right now). You can also try there fabulous natural juices like Mora and Cas.
I hope you enjoy your trip and are able to find unique and interesting things to bring back home.

What are the best places to travel to in Costa Rica with kids given the short visit?

Best answer:

Answer by Mike
Since it is a short visit, and the kids are so young, I would just go to the beach.

Dont take your eyes off of them, even for a second.

There really is not a lot for young kids in Costa Rica.

Question by tmeineke7: Best way to drive from San Jose Costa Rica airport to Manuel Antonio Park?
We are going to Costa Rica in January. We would like to go to Manuel Antonio Park and I thought it might be interesting to drive. However, we don’t like driving on mountainous roads with no guard rails, and I understand that the valley route includes a rope bridge. What is the best way to go to stay on a high quality road, even if it takes a little longer to get there?

Best answer:

Answer by yellowstone
Both roads are mountainous with few guard rails however the old and most direct road through Atenas is windier and more hair raising. The traffic on the Panamanian high way is very slow because of all the trucks so you shouldn’t get as stressed. Once you get to the coast, just follow the signs to Jaco and then to Manuel Antonio. I can’t remember a rope bridge on either of the two most travelled routes.

When is the best time to visit Costa Rica to Surf?

What’s up guys, it’s a beautiful morning here in Costa Rica. How are you doing today? My name is Bill, I’m down here in Jaco Beach and it’s absolutely incredible. I’ve worked with surf camps and surf organizations, teaching in schools and surfing around the world over the past 15 years and I’ve landed myself in Costa Rica and this is absolutely the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen- to learn how to surf or to score some perfect waves. Is Costa Rica Still the Best Place in Central America for Purchasing Real Estate?

An view of the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica from Hacienda Matapalo

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) May 7, 2010

While Costa Rica has long been the investment darling of Central America when it comes to real estate purchases, in recent months there has been a lot of chatter about other countries in the region like Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.

On Wednesday, May 19, Hacienda Matapalo Executive Vice President Brian Albury will present a no-holds-barred look at these countries and others in the region in order to answer the question: Is Costa Rica still the best place in Central America for purchasing real estate?

The eSeminar, which is free and open to the public, will examine various locations throughout Central America on a variety of topics ranging from political and financial structures to the quality of life and the indigenous people.

“There has been a lot of misinformation spread around recently about some of these countries,” Albury said, “and that creates a lot of confusion for those who wish to purchase or invest in the region. Whether it’s Costa Rica, Panama or Nicaragua, people need to know the facts and not be fooled by fabrications.”

Albury said the goal of the eSeminar will be to set the record straight on the nations of the region and to provide people with information that is accurate and unbiased so they can make intelligent decisions that are in their own best interests.

“When you line up the countries side-by-side and compare them in a variety of categories, you can clearly see what a good decision is and what a bad decision is,” he explained. “But don’t just take my word for it; listen to what the U.S., Canadian and British governments have to say about all these places.”

Unlike many of their neighbors, Costa Rica has not suffered from the tribulations caused by dictatorships, corruption, disease or escalating and widespread crime over the years. Instead it has flourished as one of the top places to live from both an ecological and economical perspective.

Although caution and common sense are always suggested to anyone who plans to buy property in any country not of their domicile, those looking to invest should weigh their options and although Costa Rica is still considered one of best return on investment opportunities, it’s not all about money.

“All of these countries except Costa Rica have immigration issues where their citizens are trying to leave their homelands for a variety of reasons,” Albury noted. “But there’s a reason why Costa Ricans don’t leave Costa Rica. When a country is consistently ranked higher than its neighbors – and in many cases higher than the U.S., U.K. or Canada – in terms of safety, health and government stability, it really says something about the place.”

The free eSeminar is scheduled for a 6 p.m. Eastern Time start. Participants may register here or by visiting one of several Costa Rica real estate Web sites that are sponsoring the online event such as Hacienda Matapalo, Los Pelicanos Ocean Club and Tierra Verde Uvita among others.

Question by REEMPIRE888: Which part of Costa Rica should I go if I want to see the best rainforest and a fishing trip?
Okay, I’ve posted a few questions here today and so far I’ve made up my mind as to what I want to do in Costa Rica. Since my travel time is rather limited – 5 days. I would like to see the best rainforest if possible, and to join a fishing trip. Can anyone tell me where I can get the best deal on both and where to stay. My main concern is my budget. I’ve looked into a few CR fishing trips and they cost a ton, somewhere in the $ 700 USD range? This is outragously high! Is this possible? I’m not looking into something fancy at all just a ordinary fishing trip. So to sum it all up, where I should stay to cut down my travel time and at the same time be able to do both and still have time to see more? How far is San jose to Quepos? I’ve found tons of great hotel deal in San Jose but don’t know how difficult to go from SJ to Quepos. Some day Quepos is the best and SJ for more for business travelers? I have 5 days 4 night. Please help!

Best Selling Property in Costa Rica, Hacienda Matapalo, Achieves $ 43 Million in Sales

Hacienda Matapalo Entrance

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) March 9, 2009

The best selling property in Costa Rica , Hacienda Matapalo, recently topped $ 43 million in sales, announced David Matluck, the project’s CEO. Costa Rica real estate is extremely appreciative, and buyers will soon have the opportunity to invest in the highly sought-after Hacienda Matapalo, as phase II residences will soon be made available at pre-construction prices. Hacienda Matapalo began releasing several new villages in its phase I condo and home pre-construction a few months ago, following a successful meeting by the Minister of Tourism.

Location, location, location is the key to a successful real estate launch, and this was the initial driving force to choose the locale of Hacienda Matapalo:

Location: Nestled in a rainforest, on a mountain overlooking the Pacific where the mountains meet the sea.
Location: Frontage on Pacific Coast Highway. This area has not developed due to horrific roads – the road is now being paved.
Location: Infrastructure, new international airport, hospital and the largest marina in Latin America are a short drive.

“An award winning architect who understands how creating an environmentally friendly structure that blends and compliments the rainforest has been a key to the success of Hacienda Matapalo,” Matluck says.

The pristine 665 acres of Hacienda Matapalo have been conserved by coupling a low density formula of small building footprints with 125 acres set aside for a dedicated nature preserve. Monkeys, Blue Morpho butterflies, birds and sloths share the waterfalls, lakes and lush rain forest with their transported neighbors from North America.

Horseback tours of the property have driven sales in the pre-construction stage, and the equestrian center will have a full stable of horses available to travel either the trails on the property or a gallop to the beach club to enjoy surf and sun. Working out in the expansive gym or enjoying a relaxing massage at the spa has motivated quite a few purchasers to take the plunge into the infinity pools at Hacienda Matapalo.

Amid North America’s housing and mortgage gloom, investors and second-home buyers are finding that the sun is still shining brightly at Hacienda Matapalo, which has become one of the country’s most sought-after destinations. The rental income of the condos, villas and homes will generate returns that make investing the proverbial no-brainer.

Appreciation in Costa Rica real estate has averaged in excess of 30 percent per year over the last decade, and pre-construction appreciation at Hacienda Matapalo has been substantially higher to date. The current property tax rate of 0.25 percent allows more of the bottom line profit to go where it belongs (in the buyer’s pocket).

IRA and 401ks have become decimated with the collapse of the stock and real estate markets in the U.S. This factor has enticed many people to use their retirement funds to purchase at Hacienda Matapalo. Hacienda Matapalo is considered a tax-deferred/exempt entity investment vehicle and is not subject to penalties. There are more social security checks being sent to Costa Rica than any other location outside the United States.

For more information about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to invest in Costa Rica real estate, make sure to attend Hacienda Matapalo’s eSeminar on Thursday, March 12, 2009, 6 p.m. (EST) “Why is Hacienda Matapalo the Best Selling Property in Costa Rica”. Question by Steven TJ: When is the best time to travel to Costa Rica?
I am thinking of volunteering in an underprivileged community in Costa Rica and I was wondering when (dates) will be the best time to go there.

Best answer:

Answer by mycostarica@ymail.com
Climate in Costa Rica don’t change that much, we only have two seasons, dry and rainy season, depending on what you want to do and see one or the other is preferred.

If you are volunteering I would recommend you coming from February – through July, since this is the dry season and you will be able to take advantage of most of your day. If you are able, I would totally recommend you go visit the Arenal Volcano and some of the beautiful scenery this country has.

Or maybe take a tour or two, check out My Costa Rica

Question by mhpapp: What is the best all inclusive resort in Costa Rica in terms of partying?
I’m in my mid twenties. I’m travelling to Costa Rica for three weeks. Two weeks I will spend roughing it, experiencing all I can. However, the last week I would like to settle at one resort and just kick it. Where should I go to find other people partying my age?

Answer by marlinon
Hands down and without question go to Jaco Beach! There are not many “All Inclusive” places there, but you can get a great hotel room in Jaco and enjoy your choice of over 100 different restaurants and by far the hottest nightlife scene in Costa Rica….period!

You’ll find people from ages 20-60 whooping it up in Jaco 7 nights a week, as it is the most visited and popular destination in all of Costa Rica. There is a lot to see and do there during the day as well such as the countries best Canopy tours, ATV Tours, White Water Rafting tours and a lot more!

You’ll love the Jaco Beach nightlife scene as there are many great Beach Bars and nightclubs to choose from. For what you are looking for, take my word on this one and plan your party week in Jaco Beach. It’s easy to get to from San Jose’ too.
