It should be legal as long as you don’t have pot, and the pipe doesn’t smell like pot.

Question by horselover2015: What to bring back from Costa Rica and Panama?
In December/January I’m going to Costa Rica and Panama for a medical volunteer trip. I have all of my expenses covered but don’t know how much money to bring with me for shopping. I’m not sure what these countries are known for/what I can bring back. Any suggestions on what to get/look for and how much money to bring for shopping? Thanks so much!

Question by yochumal: How much alcohol can I bring into the United States from Costa Rica?
I am on vacation in Costa Rica and would like to bring some cute alcohol bottles home with me for souveniers for friends and family. I know there is a limit on how much I can bring in without having to pay taxes or without getting in trouble but I am having trouble finding that information. Any help would be much appreciated.

You should ask the police. When you board your plane, make sure you let the plane director know that you are not smuggleing (lol) tell them exactly why you want to bring them to USA, and I am sure they will allow it.

What kind of clothes should I bring to Costa Rica?

Question by Chris: What kind of clothes should I bring to Costa Rica?
I am a guy and I am going to Costa Rica for 8 days this July. And I wanna know what kinds of clothes I should pack that will keep me cool. Specifically what type of underwear: suck as briefs, boxers,or boxer briefs. I have heard it is very humid there and since I live in NY, I won’t be used to it. Please help. Thanks!

Hello! :)
I’m not sure where in Costa Rica you will be staying, but I’m guessing you will probably be visiting various places. So you probably want to have a few different clothing options. July is the beginning of the rainy season here, it’s also a humid time of the year. So if i where you I would pack a pair of good shoes, you need to feel comfortable walking with them and they need to be preferable closed to prevent water from getting in. A pair of jeans, a pair of long pants, some shorts, lots of socks, t-shirts, one jacket just in case you happen to go to a cold place, a hat to protect yourself from the sun, a pair of sunglasses. Since you ask specifically about underwear i will give you my personal opinion, I’m from Costa Rica and i wear boxer briefs, i just find them much more comfortable, if you happen for some reason to get caught under the rain they will dry out faster, they are also better for walking, i’m fairly sure you will feel comfortable wearing them… But really i would just wear whatever you are used to wearing. Don’t forget to bring the beach clothing and your sunscreen! :)

Hope this helps, Enjoy the Trip!
