Costa Rican Green Season is Green With Money
Costa Rican Green Season is Green With Money
London, UK (PRWEB) September 8, 2007
Holidays in Costa Rica, a leading UK travel agency based in San Jose has seen a recent incline in tourists towards the end of Costa Rica’s green season in general (May – November). The green season had seen a decline in tourists earlier this year; however a sudden rise in visitors is expected towards the latter part of this period.
The months of September and October tend to be a particularly slow time for the Costa Rica tourism industry, and were predicted to be even quieter for 2007′s green season. However this year Costa Rica Holidays has seen a significant increase in Europeans venturing to Costa Rica during this period. This looks to be in line with the fact the there has been a particularly wet summer back in Europe, and despite it being the green season here, there is still plenty of sunshine to be enjoyed at particular times of the day as Richard Bexon explains, “The weather here runs a bit like clockwork, the mornings are filled with bright sunshine and very warm temperatures, and around about mid-afternoon it rains for about 1 hour heavily and then dries up.”. However remember that without this rain the country would not be so lush and the rainforests would not be rainforests. In the Northern area of Guanacaste the rainfall is minimal as this area markets 365 days of sun a year. So if you are looking for a cheaper luxury holiday with some sun then be sure to end the holiday with a stay in the Guanacaste.
The weather isn’t at all an inconvenience to a holiday out here; in fact it brings to light some of the countries best features for an ultimately satisfying holiday. The green season provides a great spectacle to see an abundance of fantastic flora and fauna and an array of magnificent wildlife, not to mention the fact that this time of year is perfect for those seeking adrenaline fueled journeys by taking up some white water rafting. After the rains if you venture into the rainforest you will see poison dart frogs and a variety of other amphibians and spiders. Great packages such as the Luxury Green Season Special help cater for such attractions.
What is interesting to note is that honeymoons have seen quite a considerable rise for this time of year. This is mainly due to weddings being generally cheaper at this time of year as the wedding season draws to a close entwined with the fact that generally hotel and traveling prices are also cheaper this time year. Costa Rica Honeymoons offer customisable options to make sure that your honeymoon is a memorable one
Reports from some our partnered hotels suggest that this time of the year tends to be the period where they would shut for a month or so as the venues just weren’t profitable enough to keep open. However with this increasing demand in September/October traveling, many resorts have opted to leave their doors open for forthcoming holidaymakers. “The good thing is, not only is there more choice than there ever has been before for this category, but there are still fantastic deals to be had and very reasonable rates. You can have a 2 week honeymoon or holiday in Costa Rica in 4 star plus hotels, including transport, hotels, tours and all taxes, plus airfare for just under £3,000″ States Bexon.
For similar reasons as to above, last minute bookings have also seen a rise. Cheaper deals and more availability have provided a surge in tourists looking for a quick and reasonably priced holiday.

Costa Rica Power Team? Launches Certified Green? Environmental Certification Program
Costa Rica Power Team® Launches Certified Green® Environmental Certification Program
San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) December 21, 2007
The Costa Rica Power Team, a unit of San Jose based Crystal Clear Properties (http://www.deededparadise.com), announced today its “Certified Green” Environmental Standards Program.
In keeping with its corporate commitment to maintain high levels of environmental awareness, the real estate sales company instituted its twelve point “Certified Green” program. According to Jason LaFlesch, the President of the Costa Rica Power Team, before the company becomes associated with any new community development, it makes sure that the community’s development plan adheres to the protocols set forth in the “Certified Green” program.
“As a company, we are involved in Costa Rica because we love the country. Like our buyers and certainly like the citizens of our host country, we enjoy all Costa Rica has to offer – its natural beauty, its wildlife, its fantastic way of life. Through our “Certified Green” program we are doing our part to ensure that Costa Rica remains the attractive, natural place that it is”, Mr. LaFlesch said.
Mr. LaFlesch went on to detail many of the key components of the “Certified Green” program. These include the setting aside of ample open space for recreation and the maintenance of natural wildlife habitats, soil erosion safeguards, preservation of wetlands and aquifer regeneration watersheds, self-contained or municipal utilities, and other natural features of the land including steep slope guidelines and the maintenance of natural geologic contours. The program also will impose strict air quality initiatives in order to limit the carbon footprint resulting from human activity.
“The Costa Rica Power Team is taking the lead in setting the standard for responsible development in Costa Rica. We encourage other developers and sales companies to adopt our standards and earn “Certified Green” designation”, Mr. LaFlesch noted. “Our Certified Green program can be adopted and applied by developers worldwide,” Mr. LaFlesch added.
Bill Deegan, the Costa Rica Power Team’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said that the Power Team created the standards after many years experience working with environmental professionals in the United States and Costa Rica. “We are setting the bar pretty high for ourselves. Costa Rica’s environmental future depends on responsible stewardship of the land,” Mr. Deegan said.
The Costa Rica Power Team recently sold out its 262 unit single family home community near Playa Bejuco in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. Tim Kopatich, the company’s Vice President of Operations said that two new communities will be coming on-line in late February 2008. Monterey will offer 300 single family homes in a new community near Playa Bejuco; Miramar will be comprised of 200 building lots in a master planned subdivision near Puntarenas. Both properties adhere to the company’s “Certified Green” environmental standards, Mr. Kopatich noted.
The Costa Rica Power Team is the largest Real Estate Consulting Firm in the Central American nation of Costa Rica. It specializes in beach front, ocean view, resort style single family home and condominium communities.

Oriens Adds Five Green Certified Costa Rica Hotels
Oriens Adds Five Green Certified Costa Rica Hotels
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) September 11, 2008
Oriens Travel & Hotel Management Corp (OTHM.PK)., an emerging Travel and Hotel Management Company operating online travel booking site 128trip.com and hotel management subsidiary Hotel PURE, is pleased to report that it has added five Green certified hotels in Costa Rica to its Hotel PURE portfolio this week.
Following the addition of a new eco-friendly brand, Hotel PURE GREEN, which debuted on August 20, 2008, the company has added five new hotels, which are GREEN certified or participated in the government of Costa Rica’s Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST), to its Hotel PURE offerings this week. Travelers traveling to Costa Rica who wish to stay in these special eco-friendly hotels can now book these beautiful hotels through the Hotel PURE website under the Green Hotels section. Room rates for these hotels will remain affordable, ranging from $ 48-$ 92 per night.
With the recent migration of a large number of vacation tourists from the Caribbean to Central America looking for natural wonders other than the beach and sun, the government of Costa Rica is forecasting a 20% increase of tourists in 2008 — from 1.9 million visitors last year to 2.4 million visitors this year. This is evidenced by the increase of flights by major airlines flying into San Jose and Liberia, Costa Rica, amid decreases of flights into the Caribbean countries and Mexico.
Ken Chua, President of Oriens comments, “Adding these eco-friendly GREEN hotels to our Hotel PURE portfolio is merely our first step to promoting these hotels. We will introduce a new unique tour with accommodation experiences in these hotels shortly to further expose the green of Costa Rica.”

Costa Rica Real Estate Project Offers Participants an Opportunity to Think and Live Green
Costa Rica Real Estate Project Offers Participants an Opportunity to Think and Live Green
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) February 2, 2011
When the principals and staff of a company are committed to developing in a responsible manner with the utmost respect for the environment and the warm and welcoming people that call Costa Rica home, it’s easy to understand how thinking and living “Green” can be incorporated into a lifestyle.
On Tuesday, February 8 at 6 p.m. Eastern, Hacienda Matapalo – the most sought after master planned gated community on Costa Rica’s South Pacific Coast – will sponsor a complimentary online seminar that will enable its participants to learn all about the land of Pura Vida and what one can expect when living in an eco-friendly environment while promoting sustainability.
“This will be a little different than some of our previous Web-based seminars,” said Albury, who has covered a wide variety of topics over the past year ranging from Health Care in Costa Rica to a comparison between the small Central American country and its neighbors (Panama, Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico). “Some of the previous presentations covered Costa Rica as a whole. For this one, we’re bringing it back home to Hacienda Matapalo. And while we certainly will include many general facts pertaining to Costa Rica, this is going to show why Hacienda Matapalo is not just another development close to nature, but rather how it was designed and is now being built with an emphasis on respecting the natural environment.”
Albury explained that his 40 to 45 minute presentation will be from a true insider’s point-of-view and will include specific aspects of the Costa Rica real estate project. Hacienda Matapalo strongly supports sustainable development and continues to be a source of benefit to the local communities and municipalities.
Included in his presentation will be:
Green Building Principles
Energy Efficiency
Water and Waste Management
Environmental Protection
Social Responsibility
“These are small examples of the ways we are working to be a leading example of conscientious progress,” Albury said. “So, if you are an investor or home buyer who is truly serious about Costa Rica, you will not want to miss this one of a kind presentation – as it will show once again why Hacienda Matapalo is the hands down choice in the most bio-diverse country on the planet.”
