DayStar Properties Launches Their Costa Rica Vacation Rental Website for Bahia Azul
Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) May 29, 2007
DayStar Properties, the leading beachfront condo developer in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica, recently launched a new informational website for its brand new beachfront condominium community – Bahia Azul. The site, http://www.bahia-azul.com, offers detailed property information, local and national maps, descriptions of hospitality services and tourism information on Costa Rica.
A beachfront community of 30 two-bedroom condominiums, Bahia Azul offers deluxe vacation rentals with the first-class services one would expect of a luxury hotel. The new website is intended to promote these deluxe condo rentals as an alternative to hotels, which have long been the traditional lodging option in Jaco, Costa Rica’s most popular beach town.
“The website will be a great tool for getting the word out that the luxury condo rental is the new trend for high-end accommodation in Jaco and throughout Costa Rica,” said Gretchen Gary, marketing manager with DayStar Properties. “You really do get much more for your money when you rent a DayStar condo rather than a hotel room, including amenities like fully equipped kitchens, in-unit washers and dyers, and multiple ocean-view balconies. Top it off with separate bedrooms and large shared spaces, and you just can’t beat the value.”
DayStar Properties is also excited at the prospect of drawing more luxury-minded travelers to Costa Rica, which is currently experiencing a nationwide renaissance of its tourism infrastructure and accommodation standards. Through online resources like http://www.bahia-azul.com, the luxury travel circuit can learn more about the evolution of places like Jaco Beach, which was just nominated as Central & Latin America’s Leading Beach by the World Travel Awards 2007.
About DayStar Properties:
DayStar Properties, http://www.daystar-properties.com, manages three near-to-complete luxury condominium communities – Bahia Azul, La Paloma Blanca and Bahia Encantada – in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. Beyond its property management division, the company is one of the largest condo developers on the central Pacific coast with seven existing projects on the Jaco beachfront.
To learn more, contact the Daystar sales and marketing office toll-free from the United States at 877/552-6825 or within Costa Rica at 643-2082. You can also visit our website at http://www.daystar-properties.com for project information and construction updates.

Summertime Costa Rican Vacation Secrets Revealed in Free eBook
Summertime Costa Rican Vacation Secrets Revealed in Free eBook
Pennsville, NJ (PRWEB) May 12, 2008
Publisher Joe Farinaccio still loves taking his wife and children to the Jersey shore, where he spent many summer days as a kid. But he discovered booking a Caribbean trip to Costa Rica would likely result in more family fun for his vacation dollars.
“Although adventurers and snow birds usually fly south to tropical Costa Rica when it’s cold up north, the best time to vacation here is during summer months in North America and Europe,” he said. “In reality, it’s warm all the time in Costa Rica. So the best travel deals exist when the official tourist season ends … and large crowds disappear in June, July and August.”
Even though Costa Rica’s “rainy” season covers the same months North Americans are enjoying summer, many people don’t realize it typically rains there just a couple of hours every afternoon — that’s it. Mornings in Costa Rica are usually sunny, evenings are generally clear, and pleasant temperatures abound throughout the day.
“There’s so much to see and do in Costa Rica,” Farinaccio said. “But you have to plan carefully. Working out an itinerary on the fly is a very bad idea.”
To help others see what Costa Rica offers, Farinaccio created a free ebook entitled, “Insider Tips and Activities Guide for Costa Rica.” It contains valuable information for anyone who’d like to know more about experiencing a unique, fun-filled tropical adventure in the Caribbean this summer … including:
1. Visiting beaches world-renown for their breathtaking beauty — minus the large crowds. Hollywood stars and other famous personalities enjoy these quiet havens all the time because most beaches in Costa Rica let you carve out a little slice of “private paradise” along the shore.
2. Cruising on a chartered boat ride for world-class sport fishing. Booking half-day and multi-day charters is possible. And Costa Rica’s shores are teeming with sailfish, blue marlins, striped marlins, sea bass, yellow fin tuna, wahu, roosterfish, mackerel, dorado and red snapper.
3. Hiking up a mountainside to see an active volcano early in the day, and then relaxing in natural hot springs (while sipping a favorite tropical drink) all afternoon. Most people assume they have to fly to Hawaii to enjoy this sort of thing. Instead of traveling halfway around the world to watch lava and sip cocktails, an adventurer only needs to fly 2 hours south of Miami.
4. Sliding down a famous “zipline” ride. A series of cables takes riders along the canopy of Costa Rica’s rain forest. This exhilarating ride above the trees gives gliders the sensation they’re flying in the air over wild jungles beneath.
5. Rappelling down jungle waterfalls. A huge number of small, yet spectacular waterfalls exist throughout Costa Rica. And skilled guides take participants down the inclines of many of them, using secure ropes so vacationers can play in tranquil pools when they reach the bottom. These are ideal spots for private lunches and romantic swims.
6. Shooting pictures throughout an exotic “river safari” — without going all the way to Africa. Highly skilled naturalists and guides host exclusive riverboat tours. And the diversity of animal life, including monkeys, toucans, iguanas, crocodiles or any of the hundreds of other wildlife species frequently encountered on these trips, amazes most travelers.
7. Sipping Java at an authentic coffee plantation. Coffee lovers get a real-world look at how coffee beans go from field to supermarket shelf. The whole process is covered — including how beans are grown, harvested and then finally processed. Of course, fresh cups of “brew” are naturally a part of such tours — along with other savory treats, like chocolate-covered coffee beans.
8. Riding world-renown river rapids. Bi-lingual guides assist thrill seekers along journeys down any of a wide variety of fast-moving Costa Rican rivers. The biggest challenge can be deciding which whitewater-rafting trip you’re going to book ahead of time.
More information on these activities, plus other insider vacation tips, is inside the free ebook, which is available for download at http://www.CostaRicaTravelBook.com

Q&A: Would it be cheaper to buy a Costa Rica vacation package from Hotels.com or separately?
Question by REEMPIRE888: Would it be cheaper to buy a Costa Rica vacation package from Hotels.com or separately?
I’m planning a short trip to Costa Rica for about 5-6 days. Would it be cheaper to buy a vacation package deal from hotels.com or buy airfare separately online and then book hotels locally when I get there? Where would be a good and cheap place to stay in San Jose and Quepos? What are the availability around this time of year? What is the best traveling method from San Jose to Quepos?
Best answer:

Go to

www.truecostarica.com loads of info available.
I saw book a package deal, especially cheaper if you want to actually tour the countryside….there are some wonderful deals for just under $ 1,000 for 10 days including tours throughout the country, meals and hotels throughout the country. You get to see the sites, taste the foods and stay at more than one hotel/villa! I have friends in San Jose and hope to go down for a visit next spring – stay with them some, but plan to take a package tour also…Have fun!

DayStar Properties Offers Costa Rica Tourism Information on Its New Vacation Rental Website for La Paloma Blanca
Miami Beach, FL (PRWEB) September 2, 2007
As Costa Rica’s tourism industry continues to expand and change, it’s often difficult for discerning travelers to determine where the quality services are. Offering specialized information for luxury-minded travelers, DayStar Properties, the leading beachfront condo developer in Jaco, Costa Rica, offers more than just property details about La Paloma Blanca on its recently launched vacation rental website, http://www.lapaloma-blanca.com.
An informational site launched to promote DayStar’s newest luxury condo community on the Jaco beachfront – La Paloma Blanca, the site also features valuable travel information, local and national maps and details on the best quality tours in the area.
One of the first fully functioning condo hotels in Jaco Beach, La Paloma Blanca joins its sister property, Bahia Azul in setting the trend for the new luxury accommodation standard in Jaco and throughout Costa Rica.
“The website will reinforce the message that condo hotels are quickly becoming the preferred lodging venues for discerning travelers visiting Jaco as well as many other beach destinations in Costa Rica,” said Gretchen Gary, marketing manager with DayStar Properties. “When you consider the added value of having separate bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, in-unit laundry rooms and multiple terraces or balconies, condo rentals are the obvious choice over standard hotel rooms.”
A serene ocean-front community, La Paloma Blanca offers 36 two- and three-bedroom condo rentals on the pristine south end of Jaco Beach. The development’s unique low-impact construction and multiple seaside swimming pools create a tropical oasis that is quite different from the tower condominium projects planned for other sites on the Jaco beachfront. La Paloma Blanca manages to offer modern luxury accommodation without sacrificing the sense of finding something special amid the considerable development of Jaco Beach.
With two fully functioning properties on the beachfront, DayStar Properties leads the rising condo hotel trend in Jaco Beach. Through online resources like http://www.lapaloma-blanca.com , the luxury travel circuit can learn more about rising accommodation standards and quality tourism services on Costa Rica’s central Pacific coast.

Villas Tranquilas A Costa Rica Vacation Rental Gives Back to Local Manuel Antonio/Quepos Sustainable Development Community this Fall
Livingston, MT (PRWEB) September 10, 2009
As Congress turns their attention away from Mr. Obama’s environmental economic initiatives toward healthcare, one small business remains committed to the initiatives’ ideals and jump starts their mission toward environmental sustainability this fall. Villas Tranquilas, a Costa Rica Vacation Rental in Quepos/Manuel Antonio, joins a growing group of Central Pacific businesses and Costa Rica Hotels dedicated to sustainable Costa Rican Tourism.
Spearheaded in 2001 by local business owners to protect the endangered Mono Titi (squirrel) monkey, the Titi Conservation Alliance focuses conservation efforts on the Rio Naranjo Biological Corridor surrounding internationally famous Manuel Antonio National Park. The Rio Naranjo Biological Corridor’s two known locations for Mono Titi monkeys are separated by development making it extremely difficult for populations to thrive.
Villas Tranquilas sponsorship of the Titi Conservation Alliance gives tourists searching for Costa Rica vacations special insight into such local conservation issues. By educating tourists on local sustainable causes, it raises awareness about Costa Rica’s fragile Manuel Antonio National Park ecosystem and, by extension, the endangered Mono Titi Monkey.
Partnering with local Titi Alliance members, Villas Tranquilas strengthens a commitment to support business-to-business partnerships but also publicly recognizes their own charter to achieve sustainable development status through Costa Rica’s Certification of Sustainability. Villas Tranquilas begins the process of certification this fall with Titi Conservation Alliance guidance.
Through Villas Tranquilas guest donations, a portion of all proceeds will go directly to local education, reforestation, and conservation projects that impact the Manuel Antonio and Quepos Communities. Titi Conservation also offers opportunities for local businesses to help with reforestation of the Rio Naranjo Biological Corridor thus, off-setting carbon emissions and reducing each business’s carbon footprint.
Villas Tranquilas: a six acre rainforest retreat offers Costa Rica accommodations and vacation packages for travel to Manuel Antonio/Quepos Costa Rica.

International cell phone calls from Costa Rica to the U.S. on can cost anywhere from $ 0.35 to $ 5.75 per minute depending on the U.S. cell phone plan.
If she has a smart phone she can use free local wi-fi hotspots to make calls to the U.S. using skype for 6.2 cents a minute and most internet cafes have VOIP options to call the U.S. for 10-15 cents per minute.
The recipient of the call in the U.S. will pay whatever they normally pay for minutes (the same as if someone called from next door).

How much should I expect to spend on a vacation to Costa Rica?
Question by Sam: How much should I expect to spend on a vacation to Costa Rica?
I am traveling to Costa Rica for about five days and i am curious as to how much I should expect to spend. I plan on buying drinks at the bar and partying in addition to things like ATVs or Jet Skis. How much should I expect to spend. I already covered air fare and hotel so I am referring to spending change.
Best answer:
Answer by Mike
It depends GREATLY on where you are going.
For example, I am going to Pavones next week. I will spend about $ 30 per day there… that includes drinking at night, food, and maybe a fishing trip too. I go to surf.
In Jaco, I could spend at least twice that.
Throw in a Jet Ski or ATV rental, and add around $ 50-$ 150 for that adventure. I zip lined south of Jaco last year, and the cost was about $ 30.
Costa Rica can be a very cheap vacation in the more rural areas, but in the tourist areas, it is quite expensive.

Costa Rica’s beaches and jungles are beautiful and full of wildlife (monkeys, parrots, tapirs, deer, snakes and butterflies}. The capital City, San Jose, is a bit crime-ridden as we live along the cocaine route between South America and Mexico/USA. Costa Rican food is somewhat bland to American tastes, but exotic fruits and fishes abound. The primary meat is pork. WilliamG.
